Pink seed pods in Nana's front yard

Pink seed pods, originally uploaded by mandaroo63.

This unusual tree has these beautiful pink seed pods all over it. Not sure what kind of tree, but they are very beautiful. This tree is by the street in front of my mom's house.

Enjoy your stay

This is my mum's beautiful, welcoming guest room. Hotel de'Roa, if you will. Our English relatives get to enjoy this room on their visits. We usually have at least one visit from her side of the family per year, sometimes more.
So, kick off your shoes, relax, have a cuppa tea, and enjoy your stay.

Crepe Myrtle

Here's some photos of my mum's Crepe Myrtle which is blossoming right now, despite the 113 degrees heat! I looked up to post a reference, and found that they do tolerate the heat nicely....

Here's the site and an excerpt:

The crepe myrtle also known as crape myrtle is of the Lagerstroemia species and belongs to the Lythraceae family. This deciduous tree is a favorite in southern gardens blooming most of the summer and tolerating its heat.

You can also see her Huge Lavenders and a Purple Plum Tree, which blooms beautiful pink flowers for a short time in the spring.
